AOSR is a registered not-for-profit in the United States, International School in Rome. All tuition fees are reinvested back into optimal learning experiences, and the development of the campus to ensure optimal learning. This is why AOSR is the leading American International School in Rome.

Elementary School

Ages 3 - 11

The elementary school provides a challenging and supportive environment that enables students to be successful in their educational pursuits now and in the future. Our teachers are student-centered and adept at developing each student to reach their potential.

Middle School

Ages 11 - 14

The middle school years are full of tremendous change and growth in a student's academic, social, emotional, and physical being. We offer a safe, exciting, and challenging environment that respects and nurtures our students during this transitional time. Our aim is to prepare well-rounded students ready for the rigors of high school at AOSR or anywhere in the world.

High School

Ages 14 - 18

High school is a time for students to explore new areas and experiences. Through our extensive programs and courses, students see the development of talents, interests, and skills. We prepare them for their future and next level of learning.

Tuition Fees FAQ's

What are the Capital Assessment & Registration Fees?

● The Capital Assessment Fee is a one-time fee applied to new families for their first year at AOSR. The fee is assigned to a fund specifically designed for capital projects. Capital Assessment is not refundable and is not prorated according to attendance or by the date of entry during the school year.

● Capital Assessment is waived for new families enrolling only Pre-Kindergarten students. It will be applied once the first student enters Kindergarten.

● The Registration Fee is a one-time, mandatory and non-refundable fee, and is due once a place at the school has been offered and accepted.

● For re-enrolling students that had left AOSR for a period of more than 12 months the Capital Assessment fee will be waived and will only pay the Registration Fee upon acceptance.

● These fees are due and payable upon receipt of the invoice to guarantee the student(s) place.

What is included in the Annual Tuition Fee?

Annual Tuition Fees are Per Student and Include:

College counseling
Graduation expenses
Transcripts Educational consultants
High school clubs, including National Honor Society, Engineering Club, Model United Nations and Student Leadership Organizations
Textbooks Laboratory materials
EAL classes and learning support for students with documented learning needs

What are Optional Fees?

International Baccalaureate (IB) candidates are charged the annual IB Program Fee for each year of the IB Diploma Program.
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams.
Bus Service is available before and after school. Additional bus service is available at 17:15 for students who are regularly signed up for after-school or supervised extra-curricular activities upon confirmation with the Bus Coordinator. Please review the page Bus Service for more information.
After School Activities are also available on request and subject to availability.
Lunch costs are not included in the Tuition Fees but are complimentary for students in Pre-K through Grade 3. From Grades 4 to 12, cafeteria fees are à la carte.
