Is there an application deadline?
No. AOSR has a rolling admissions policy throughout the year.

Does AOSR ask for an application fee?
No.

How do I start the application process?

How long will I have to wait before I know if my child has been accepted for admission to AOSR?
Once all required documentation is received, the Admissions Committee reviews the application. A decision is made as soon as possible.

Do you accept students during the school year?
Yes. Students are admitted to AOSR throughout the school year on a case-by-case basis. Students accepted to High School should plan to start at the beginning of an academic quarter or semester. For a detailed schedule, please refer to the 2018-2019 Academic Calendar.

Will the applicant need to be tested before being admitted?
Admission to Elementary School is based on report cards (if available) and school records. Admission to Middle School and High School is based on transcripts, report cards, school documents, recommendation letters and an interview. Middle and High School students may be requested to take an English language proficiency and/or subject level assessment.

Does AOSR maintain a waiting list?
Yes, when necessary. At the time of application, classes may be full in specific grade levels.

Do you accept children with special needs?
Yes. Children are accepted with mild learning needs. Review our Special Needs Handbook.

At what age are children accepted to Pre-K and Kindergarten?
A child must be 3 or 4 years old by October 31st and toilet trained to enter the Pre-K Program. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by October 31st.

What is the capital assessment fee?
All new families pay a one-time capital assessment fee (per family). This revenue is designated for capital expenditures including renovations and building projects. For more information, visit our Tuition and Fees page.

What is the calendar year for AOSR?
The school follows the North American/European school year. Classes begin the first week of September and end in mid June. For details, please review the 2018-2019 Academic Calendar.

Does the school offer boarding?
No. AOSR is a day school.

What does a school day look like?

Classes begin at 9 AM, and finish at 3:20 PM M-F. AOSR offers Sports and After School Activities M-F from 3:30 PM-5:15 PM.

Is bus service available to and from school?
