Global Issues Network

What is GIN?

Global Issues Network (GIN) is an international organization consisting of 80,000+ students from over 100 nationalities. We nurture and mobilize communities of global citizens to build a just and sustainable future.

GIN’s mission is to empower young people to collaborate locally, regionally, and globally in order to create project-based sustainable solutions for our shared global issues. Students build upon their passions and strengths to create positive change as leaders of today.

What does GIN of AOSR do?

GIN members in AOSR are high school students who are conscientious about various global issues.

GIN 2019-2020

We work on local projects and support charities and human right groups by conducting fund-raisers, participating in outreach programs, and promote awareness. In the past, we have focused on gender equality, global health, and refugee issues. During every meeting, two students share a presentation on global issues, which leads to a debate where students can share their thoughts and opinions on the topic.

GIN students attend the Annual GIN Conference in Luxembourg each year, where more than 400 youths from 60 international schools from all over the world get together to share ideas and collaborate.

We are privileged to be part of the Youth Delegates for the World Peace Summit in which Nobel Peace Laureates discuss how we can achieve a more harmonic world. We take part in many service learning projects that meet the CAS requirements.
