With a focus on the curiosity that this age brings, our Early Childhood Education Program (3-5 year olds) provides our youngest students with a rich and empowering environment for learning. The Reggio Emilia approach offers individualized student-teacher interaction to instill a joy of learning. 

AOSR follows the AERO Standards in K-8, which a consistent and challenging curriculum to American international schools worldwide. AOSR students are able to seamlessly and successfully transition to their next post, whether it be in the USA or abroad. 

100% of our university applicants are accepted. Recent AOSR graduates have been accepted to over 230 elite colleges and universities worldwide. We have a full-time College Counselor who assists our students and parents with the college application process and helps them obtain entry to top schools around the world.  

The IB Diploma Programme has been successfully implemented at AOSR for decades, with results that gain students admission to elite universities in the United States, UK, Europe, and throughout the world.

With diverse and challenging coursework, high school students at AOSR forge their own path of learning passion. Students can choose from classes in visual arts, music, theater, technology, social studies, mathematics, sciences, and world languages, including AP Advanced Placement Program and IB International Baccalaureate Diploma Progamme courses.

With over 35 AP & IB courses available, our students have the opportunity to excel in the program of their choice. The results speak for themselves, with yearly acceptances to the most exclusive universities worldwide.

The American Overseas School of Rome was the first in Italy to offer the Advanced Placement AP Program, sponsored by the College Board and it remains an integral part of our high school curriculum.
