American Overseas School of Rome (International School) Tuition Fees for the 2026-2027 Academic Year
The American Overseas School of Rome, International School, is a registered not-for-profit organization. All tuition fees are reinvested to enhance learning experiences and develop our campus, ensuring the highest educational standards for all AOSR students.
Annual tuition fees are per student and include: College counseling, graduation expenses, transcripts, educational consultants, textbooks, laboratory materials, EAL classes, and learning support for students with documented mild learning disabilities.

What are the Capital Assessment & Registration Fees?Capital Assessment Fee
New families pay this one-time, non-refundable fee in their first year to support capital projects. It is not prorated based on attendance or entry date. This fee is waived for families enrolling only in Pre-K and will apply once their first child enters Kindergarten. Returning families re-enrolling after more than 12 months will also have this fee waived but must pay the Registration Fee upon acceptance.
Registration Fee
The Registration Fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment due upon acceptance. Both the Capital Assessment and Registration Fees must be paid upon invoicing to secure a student's place until tuition is billed.
What Is included in the Annual Tuition Fee?Annual Tuition Fees are Per Student and Include:
- College counseling
- Cafeteria service for Pre-K to Grade 3 students
- Graduation expenses
- Transcripts Educational consultants
- High school clubs, including National Honor Society, Engineering Club, Model United Nations and Student Leadership Organizations
- Textbooks Laboratory materials
- EAL classes and learning support for students with documented learning needs
- Parents or guardians will be billed separately for any external examinations and special programs as they take place.
What are Optional Fees?- International Baccalaureate (IB) candidates are charged the annual IB Program Fee for each year of the IB Diploma Program.
- Advanced Placement (AP) Exams.
- Bus Service is available before and after school. Additional bus service is available at 17:15 for students who are regularly signed up for after-school or supervised extra-curricular activities upon confirmation with the Bus Coordinator.
- After School Activities are also available on request and subject to availability.
- Lunch costs are not included in the Tuition Fees but are complimentary for students in Pre-K through Grade 3. From Grades 4 to 12, cafeteria fees are à la carte.
When is the Application Deadline at AOSR?We recommend applying early in January or February for September entry due to limited space. However, as 70% of our families are expat internationals, we offer a rolling admissions process and review applications year-round on an individual basis.
