Meet Ms. Goulet - AOSR College Counselor
Recent University Acceptances to Over 270 Prestigious Universities
Welcome to AOSR!
We appreciate your interest in coming to see us. We are aware of how crucial it is for our children to interact meaningfully with schools from around the world. We are happy to set up a face-to-face or online meeting between you and our students. To book your on campus visit, please register with Cialfo, thank you.
Our standard practice is to assist students in their search for the colleges and universities that are the "best fit." Parents and students are invited to choose schools that will give the student a rewarding and challenging academic experience by looking beyond the rankings. In light of this, we politely request that you refrain from talking about national or regional rankings with students or parents while you are visiting AOSR.
Discussions regarding the strengths of your programs, possibilities for growth, internships, and major choices, as well as other factors that make your college or university special, will, in our opinion, be more beneficial to the students. Great subjects to include also include information on employment and graduate school acceptances. We also advise you to talk to potential students about how selective your college or university is.
Helpful College Preparation Info
- variety of areas including high school orientation, career assessments, and university preparation.

Preparing the Application
Depending on the country to which the student is applying, the application process will vary. If the student is applying to a university in the UK, the website for the application is UCAS. The family, with the help of the counselor, will determine the five universities where the student will apply.
If the student is applying to a university in the USA, most colleges use the Common Application. This is a standard application form that is accepted by over 750 selective colleges and universities in the US. Experience with the Common Application has demonstrated its advantages to students, counselors, and teachers. The concept is simple: students complete one Common Application Form online, and can submit the form to any of the participating colleges. The Common Application is available on the internet at www.commonapp.org.
