Girls Varsity Volleyball placed second in the 2022 DoDEA Europe Division II Tournament
A LEGACY OF VICTORY
At AOSR athletic excellence is measured in both performance on and off the field. Students train hard to compete while maintaining the integrity of the ultimate sportsman.
Athletes compete not only with local schools and community teams, but also rival Department of Defense Education Activity teams. The DoDEA European championships are held each year for different varsity sports. Since joining the DoDEA competitions, our Falcons have won the Soccer, Cheerleading, Basketball, and Volleyball championships regularly, making us favorites for the win, every year.
AOSR Athletics - The Falcon Way
At AOSR, we firmly believe that engaging in interscholastic athletics teaches our student-athletes a lot, and we are constantly striving for the "well-rounded individual."
Grit, ownership, determination, perseverance, achievement, sportsmanship, teamwork, and communication are just a few of the valuable lessons that can be learned through athletic participation; the development of self-esteem and self-confidence is an ongoing process throughout a season of practice and competition.
Our program helps our AOSR Falcons develop critical habits and attitudes that prepare them for adulthood by providing a range of sporting experiences for student-athletes.
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
Mr. Daniel Zacaroli
Athletic Director
How to become a Falcon?
Students-athletes are chosen for the varsity, junior varsity, freshmam or middle school teams based on their shown ability. Our varied programs are designed to accommodate the greatest number of students feasible.
The aim of all AOSR varsity teams is to win. There is a difference between this and "win at all costs." At the varsity level, our goal is to win the game while displaying the Falcon Way. The AOSR Way is most evident or least visible when the stakes are highest. We want to show the Falcon Way while performing on the greatest platform. This applies to our student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and parents. We establish these lofty goals for ourselves in order to push ourselves to be better.
Students who engage in AOSR athletics at any level make a commitment to self-discipline, sacrifice, tenacity, and ownership. As a result of a student's engagement in AOSR athletics, parents, siblings, and friends are also required to make sacrifices. Foregoing parties, early morning trainings, and uniform purchases are all examples of this. All parties must understand that athletic participation is a luxury, not a right. Every day, the honor of becoming a Falcon must be earned.
We are proud of our sporting program. We encourage you to become a part of our athletic family. Student-athletes, we feel, serve as role models for our whole community. We work hard to protect the Falcon Way.
GO FALCONS!
