Comprehensive Support for Every Student
Young children grow up fast and not only academically, but socially and emotionally too. Dr. Reichmann, our Elementary School Counselor, understands this deeply. She offers one on one support and also leads classroom sessions that help our little Falcons build friendships, manage emotions, and become thoughtful classmates. These lessons are hands-on, age-appropriate, and designed to give your child confidence in completing tasks and working together with others.
Collaboration with Teachers and Families
But support doesn’t stop in the classroom. Dr. Reichmann often works with you, our families, to get the most out of your child by providing real strategies for managing common childhood challenges and to help you build stronger routines at home. She also works closely with your child's teachers to provide useful insights to why a child might be struggling in a specific subject, as well as important guidance on how to best support each student in the classroom setting.
Promoting a Safe and Welcoming Community
AOSR’s international setting means our students often face big transitions, whether it’s moving to Rome, starting school for the first time, or learning in a second language. Dr. Reichmann is an experienced professional whose common goal is to help your child navigate these changes with confidence. Through a number of peer support programs, small group discussions, and one-on-one check-ins, she helps children feel connected and capable, no matter where they’re coming from.
In everything she does, our beloved Dr. Reichmann promotes kindness, respect, and inclusion. She takes the lead on initiatives that address issues like bullying, friendship dynamics, and anxiety, making sure your child not only feels but knows they are welcome.
Open Doors for Every Falcon
Most importantly, Dr. Reichmann, has over 30 years experience, is approachable, and is a loved and familiar face on campus. With an open-door policy, she will always make time if your child needs help solving a problem, talking through a tough moment, or is looking for a trusted person to listen. Parents often tell us how reassuring it is to know that their child has a trusted adult on campus who understands them and truly advocates for them. That’s something we take seriously, because we know how much it matters, not only to you, but to your child.
